What is IT-Connect?

IT-Connect is our dedicated end-user application designed to cater to all your users' IT requirements. In its current beta phase, IT-Connect stands out as a reliable companion for your users, enabling them to effortlessly create tickets with just three clicks, monitor the status of their tickets, schedule appointments with Techs, and offer real-time feedback on every resolved ticket. Truly, the IT-Connect solution for a seamless IT support experience.

IT-Connect offers a comprehensive suite of end-user applications designed to streamline communication and enhance productivity. With a focus on accessibility and convenience, IT-Connect provides three distinct applications tailored to meet the needs of different users: a mobile application, a desktop application, & a Microsoft Teams app.

Installing the End-User Application : IT-Connect

  1. The customer's user can download the IT-Connect during their account activation process.

  2. Alternatively, users can download the End-User application by clicking "IT-Connect" at the bottom of the side navigation bar and sharing it with your customer's user.

  3. Retrieve the installer file according to the device's configuration

  4. Just double click on the installation file downloaded on concern system

  5. No need to do any other steps to install application

  6. After installing the IT-Connect, the customer's user should log in using their chosen verified customer user credentials (username: email ID, password: self-set password).

  7. Additionally if you integrated SSO for your customer domain, Just enter user email address and next button, account will verify with domain provider and log you in directly to IT-Connect without asking password for user

Adding the End-User Application : IT-Connect on MS Teams

  1. Go to the app section of teams app and search for IT-Connect and click 'Add'.

  2. Once IT-Connect is integrated into the Teams app, a welcoming message will be displayed.

  3. As we begin typing, a suggestion for "Create Ticket" will appear.

  4. Subsequently, it will prompt a modal to input ticket details.

  5. After submitting the ticket, users can access it by either clicking 'View Ticket' or navigating to the 'Home' tab above the chat to view the tickets.

From the home tab, users can access a list of tickets and add new tickets by clicking the "New Ticket+" button located at the top right corner of the screen.

SSO configuration

To set up Single Sign-On (SSO), please refer to the Detailed SSO configuration guide. Ensure that you've included the designated redirect URL (https://auth-api.deskday.ai/sso/redirect/team) for SSO activation under 'All services > App registration'.
