Managing custom fields

How to View or Update custom fields

Follow these steps to view or update custom fields:

  1. Open the Control Center from the side navigation bar.

  2. Click on "Custom Fields" under the Service Desk section.

  3. Select the “General” tab.

  4. You will see a list of general attributes such as Source, Work Type, etc.

  5. To add a new value, click the “Variable attribute +” button next to the attribute name and enter the value.

  6. To edit or delete a value, use the action icons next to the value.

  7. To add a custom attribute, enter a name for the new variable attribute and define its values. Two variable fields are available by default.

Note: Attributes added under General are also available in Tickets, Projects, and Tasks under “More Info” sections.


How to View or Update Ticket Attributes

To manage custom fields specific to tickets:

  1. Go to the Control Center from the side navigation bar.

  2. Click on "Custom Fields" under Service Desk.

  3. Select the “Tickets” tab.

  4. Click the "+" button next to an attribute to add a new value.

  5. Use the action bar next to a value to edit or remove it.

  6. Add custom attributes using the “Variable attributes” section. Two variable slots are available by default.

Note: These attributes appear in the More Info section of each ticket.


How to View or Update Project Attributes

To manage attributes related to projects:

  1. Go to the Control Center from the side navigation bar.

  2. Click "Custom Fields" under Service Desk.

  3. Select the “Projects” tab.

  4. Click the "+" button next to an attribute to add a new value.

  5. Use the action bar to edit or delete values.

  6. Add custom fields using the Variable attributes section. Two fields are available initially.

Note: These attributes appear in the Additional Details section of each project.

How to View or Update Task Attributes

To manage attributes for project tasks:

  1. Open the Control Center from the side navigation bar.

  2. Click "Custom Fields" under Service Desk.

  3. Select the “Tasks” tab.

  4. Use the "+" button to add a new value.

  5. Use the action icons to edit or remove existing values.

  6. Custom fields can be added under Variable attributes with two entries available initially.

Note: These attributes appear in the Additional Details section of each task.
