How to integrate with Datto RMM

Integrate with Datto RMM to convert alerts into tickets and manage devices directly from DeskDay.

Step 1: Access control center

From the DeskDay side navigation bar, open the Control Center.


Step 2: Open Integrations

Under the Marketplace section, click Integrations.


Step 3: Connect Datto RMM

From the list of available integrations, select Datto RMM and click Connect.


Step 4: Configure Datto RMM account & API details

A side drawer will open. Enter your Datto RMM account details to begin the integration.

Generate an API key from a Datto Admin user account and provide the required details in DeskDay.

Datto RMM path to generate API keys:
Datto Account → Setup → Users → User Details → Generate API Keys

Fill in the following fields:

  • API URL

  • API Key

  • API Secret Key

Once the details are added, Generate the Webhook URL from DeskDay.


Step 5: Configure webhook in Datto RMM

Copy the generated webhook URL using the Copy button and add it to your Datto RMM account.

Datto RMM webhook configuration path:
Integrations → Global Webhooks

Configure the following:

  • Enable Webhook globally for monitors

  • Update URL in "Send a Webhook"

  • (Optional) Update URL in "When alert is resolved"

  • Click Save

This ensures alerts and alert resolutions are synced with DeskDay.

Note: You can use Microsoft Teams webhook templates for the "Alert raised payload" & "Alert resolved payload".


Step 6: Select default board & notifications

Choose the default board where Datto RMM alert tickets should be created in DeskDay.

Enable Alert Notifications to receive notifications for Datto RMM alerts.

Click Proceed to continue.


How to do customer mapping in DeskDay

After completing the integration setup, map Datto RMM customers to DeskDay customers.

  1. You will see two sections:

    • Datto site

    • DeskDay customers

  2. Map customers by selecting the appropriate customers from the dropdowns.

  3. Click Next to continue.

You can also choose Skip & Add Later if you prefer to complete mapping later.


How to Do Device Mapping in DeskDay

After customer mapping, proceed to map Datto RMM devices with DeskDay users.

  1. Click Next to open the device mapping screen.

  2. Select a customer to view their devices.

  3. For each Datto RMM device, select the corresponding DeskDay user from the dropdown.

  4. Click Finish to complete the setup.


Integration Complete 🎉

You’ve successfully integrated Datto RMM with DeskDay.

You’re now ready to manage Datto RMM alerts efficiently within DeskDay.
