How to Integrate with Hudu

The Hudu-DeskDay integration allows you to connect your Hudu IT documentation platform with DeskDay PSA. This enables Helena AI to parse and utilize your documentation, providing AI-powered suggestions to improve technician productivity and ticket resolution times.


Step 1: Open the Hudu Integration Page

  1. Log in to your DeskDay Control Center.

  2. Navigate to Integrations from the left-hand menu.

  3. Locate Hudu in the list of available integrations.

  4. Click Connect.

Step 2: Generate Your Hudu API Key

Before connecting, you’ll need an API key generated from within your Hudu admin portal:

  1. Log into your Hudu account as an Admin or Super Admin.

  2. Go to Admin → Account Administration → API Keys.
    ​

  3. Click + New API Key at the top right.

  4. Provide a descriptive name, e.g. DeskDay Integration.
    ​

  5. (Optional) Choose any permissions — like exporting data or deleting (destructive) actions — as required. You may also leave company restriction and IP allowlist fields blank for global access.
    ​

  6. Click Create New Key, then copy the API key immediately — Hudu hides it after a few minutes and it can’t be retrieved later
    ​



    Step 3: Provide Your Hudu Credentials

    In the Connect Hudu dialog in DeskDay:

    • Hudu Account URL: Enter the full URL used to access your Hudu instance (e.g. https://yourcompany.huducloud.com).

    • Hudu API Key: Paste the API key you copied from your Hudu admin panel.

    Tip: If your integration vendor supports it (e.g. Level.io or SuperOps), you may only need permissions like export and delete, but avoid granting unnecessary privileges unless needed

Tip: Retrieve the API Key from the admin settings of your Hudu account.


Step 4: Establish the Connection

  1. Click Connect Now to complete the setup.

  2. DeskDay will verify the details and establish a secure connection with Hudu.

What Happens Next?

Once the connection is successful:

  • Helena AI starts parsing your Hudu documents.

  • Relevant documentation becomes available within DeskDay tickets.

  • AI-driven suggestions help technicians resolve issues faster.

  • Your knowledge base stays updated and centralized, enhancing service delivery.

Your Hudu integration is now active.

Helena AI will immediately begin leveraging your Hudu documentation to streamline ticket handling and boost productivity.
